Books I’m reading

I try to improve my skills constantly. In order to do this I not only go out and take pictures but also sit down and learn from books. What kind of books? Well I look at photographers books to find out how they composed their images. Also I read instructive books that tell me techniques and process for taking and developing images. Lastly, I’ll grab the business side of things and get good ideas on how to market, promote, and run my business.

Constant education is important in a field that changes trends. Keeping up with whats going on will be the thing that makes you stand out as a great photographer. Does this mean all study and no play? No, far from it. I’ll read memoirs and humor books as well. In fact a lot of the time I’ll read things that have nothing to do with photography, because you must keep expanding your experiences as well.

Here’s a picture of some of the stuff I’m currently reading. If it’s a nice day out, go have fun and take some great shots then sit back on the porch and read something.
