Black and White week 5

The Midland theater is a staple landmark in my hometown. It was restored and reopened, I think five years ago and has plays, ballets, bands, acrobats, and everything in between. I was lucky enough to be driving around the square after work when I saw that they left the lights on and illuminated the front beautifully.

The figure sitting on the bench in front of the ticket booth is a bronze statue of Mark Twain and was created by Gib Reese, a local artist.

That is so cool that it was restored and not torn down like so many old buildings these days. Pretty neat having the Twain statue there–how unique!
